Race Car Tuner Chassis Dynamics explains the basic phsical relationship between tires suspension and chassis. The chassis endures quite a bit of stress and like all solid objects will bend and twist. Aftermarket Strut Bars are the most common bolt on devices to stiffen the chassis. A well designed roll cage can be very effective to stiffen the chassis. Roll cages are not very practical for street driven cars. Production cars modified for racing often have frame sections welded along seams to improve performance.
